Directed by Joshua Michael Stern, written by Matthew Whitely, shot by cinematographer Russell Carpenter and produced by Mark Hulme, theSteve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher will premier later this month on the closing night of the Sundance Film Festival, according to a distribution deal.
Named “jOBS”, the movie plots around the life of the world famous late tech genius Steve Jobs from 1971 through 2000. It will detail Jobs’ founding of Apple, his departure from the company, the formation of NeXT and Pixar, and his subsequent return to Apple. and is distributed by Open Road Films while Sony pictures is also on the build up of another Jobs film.
“jOBS is certain to resonate with audiences and we are thrilled to partner with Five Star Films to bring this film to theaters,” said Open Road chief executive Tom Ortenberg.

The crew were granted unprecedented access during its shooting to the historic garage of Jobs in Palo Alto, that served as the birthplace to Apple Inc.
jOBS also stars Dermot Mulroney, James Woods, Matthew Modine, Josh Gad (as Steve Wozniak), Amanda Crew, Lukas Haas, J.K. Simmons, and others.
